The Sage Sisters is a community of women in Northern Virginia who have a thoughtful/positive approach to life and seek continual discovery, learning, and growth. We believe in opening our minds and hearts to discover more about ourselves and others; we want to learn concepts, ideas, tools, and techniques that will enhance our life experiences; and we subscribe to the idea that growth is a lifelong journey. The Sage Sisters is a community that’s sacred, safe, and nurturing – a place to be yourself, share your own wisdom, learn from others, and become the best version of yourself. The group was founded by Janet Tamassia in May 2018.

The Self-Development Book Club is open to everyone and meets monthly to discuss a self-development book. Whether you’ve read the book or not, you are welcome to attend and participate in the discussion. The only requirement is a positive, thoughtful, and respectful mindset.

Monthly interactive Workshops are open to everyone and introduce us to experts and approaches/tools for self-discovery, healing, self-care, and growth. Members attend for free; non-members are welcome to purchase general admission tickets.

Membership provides the opportunity to deepen relationships during events and through a Members-only Facebook group. Members may attend the Workshops for free and participate in Mastermind sessions.

The monthly Mastermind enables each participant to actively focus on her own personal self-development activities and goals. It includes sharing, brainstorming, and optional accountability. Gain insight, valuable ideas, and resources; be inspired by a community of growth-oriented women; and share your own knowledge, experience, and wisdom to help others. It is open to Members only.

Quarterly Sage Socials are open to all and are designed as unstructured events to get to know us and for more personal relationship building within The Sage Sister community.

Come check us out…join a book discussion, a workshop, or Sage social. If you are drawn to The Sage Sisters, I’d love to welcome you into our community.

* We use an inclusive definition of “women” and welcome trans women, genderqueer women, and non-binary people who are significantly female-identified.

Have questions? I’d love to chat with you.
